Nominations – Board By-Elections

The nomination papers for the two parent representatives on the Board have been posted to all the eligible caregivers that are on our school roll. 

Nelmari Balsdon 

We would like to sadly inform you that Whaea Nelmari Balsdon who has been teaching in Room 14 has resigned and will be finishing at the end of Term 1. 

Nelmari has accepted a teaching position at Wairau Valley Special School and we would like to congratulate her on this new role. Nelmari has a background in special education and her passion and strength is working alongside students who have moderate to high needs. 

Whaea Nel has been teaching in Kea Years 4 – 6 (Senior school) for almost a year and has had the opportunity to set up sound routines and expectations with her students this year.

We would like to wish her all the best with her new school and also thank her for all of her hard work and commitment to MBS. 

Little Heart Day 2024

On Friday 15th March we will be supporting Little Heart Day. We encourage your child to wear RED to support this day. 

Swimming Sports – New Date 

The new date for the Swimming Sports will be on the last week of the term on Thursday 4th April. We will send out another friendly reminder with the times. 

Fence Installation between MBS and ECE White Heron

We would like to inform all of our Parents and whaanau that on On Monday 11th March to Wednesday 13th March we will have workers on site installing a new fence by the Early Childhood Centre White Heron as you enter Maangere Bridge School on Domain Road. We apologise for any inconvenience during the installation and ask that parents avoid going near any construction work during that time. Any other updates we will inform the school.
