NOTICE – End of Term 1

Kia Ora, Talofa lava, Malo e lelei, Fakaalofa lahi atu, Kia Orana, Ni Sa Bula, Namaste and warm pacific greetings to all whaanau, parents and caregivers.

We would like to thank all of our parents, caregivers and our whaanau for your support this term. Our students have worked very hard and are looking forward to the school holiday break. We would like to say farewell and acknowledge Whaea Trudy and Miss Pavihi who have been teaching at MBS this term and have had an opportunity to be part of our MBS whaanau. We wish them all the best in their new endeavours. We also say farewell to our whaanau and students from MBS who had their last day today. We would like to thank you for all your support and wish you all the best.

I would like to acknowledge all of our staff and our teachers who have been amazing and have continued to teach and support our tamariki during a difficult start to the term due to the flooding. We appreciate all the mahi they have contributed in the student’s learning and hope they will have a well deserved break before returning back for Term 2.

This weekend we will be sending out the end of term newsletter and sharing what the students have been learning throughout the term. Our focus has been ‘Hauora’ and it has been a great opportunity for our students to learn more about growing Hauora through a range of learning experiences in the curriculum area of ‘Health and PE’ and as part of their student learning inquiry.

The first day of Term 2 will be Wednesday 26th April for all of our students as there will be a Teacher Only Day held on Monday 24th April and the school will be closed. We acknowledge also that Tuesday 25th April is ANZAC Day, a public holiday and a time to remember and honour the soldiers who served and died in the war. The school will be closed on this day.

We look forward to welcoming our new students and their whaanau on Wednesday 26th April at the poowhiri held at 9 am in the auditorium.

We hope you will have a lovely easter break and a safe holiday with your whaanau.

Ngaa mihi nui
