We are looking for a junior school teacher to join our amazing Y0–3 Piiwaiwaka team at Maangere Bridge School. The successful candidate will display culturally responsive practices, the ability to work in a team and inspire our students.

Caretaker / Groundsman for Maangere Bridge School
Maangere Bridge School
We are looking for a new caretaker/groundsman who is hardworking, reliable and diligent to join our staff at Maangere Bridge School commencing on Monday, 2nd December or sooner
Applications close on Friday, November 29th, 5pm
Hours: 32 hours Start Date: Monday, 2nd December 2024 (or as soon as possible)
Police Vetting will be required
The successful applicant must be able to:
- Keep our school grounds clean and tidy
- Manage time effectively
- Be flexible when needed to attend to other matters
- Experience in a trade (but not essential)
- Be positive and able to interact with students and teachers in a school setting
- Use initiative to report any health and safety hazards, including maintenance
- Drivers licence essential
- Very good communication skills
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- To keep the school grounds clean and tidy every day
- To ensure daily checks, including health and safety as required
- To ensure basic building maintenance
- To dispose of the rubbish at the end of the day
- To trim, cut and mow parts of the lawn in the school
- To be on call for out-of-hours security alarm if required
- To liaison with contractors on school site with Principal and Property Manager
